Siebel Down, Salesforce.com Up
In an article outlining Siebel Systems’ current troubles, which received the limelight after its recent quarterly revenues report, Stacy Cowley at Infoworld notes that industry analysts are predicting a continuing decline for the company that virtually founded the CRM software market.
This decline contrasts sharply with the growth experienced by Salesforce.com, a newer entrant in the CRM app playing field. According to Gartner Inc., by the end of 2005, Salesforce.com will edge out traditional vendors Oracle and PeopleSoft in its enterprise application license revenue.
