Verticals onDemand - Press release

PLEASANTON, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Verticals onDemand launches its Specialty Care Edition of VBioPharma™ to support the specialty drug market, growing at twice the rate of other pharmaceutical sectors. The Specialty Care Edition marks another first for Verticals onDemand, which launched VBioPharma Managed Care Edition in June. The new product is the only CRM system designed specifically for specialty care, filling a current void in the biopharmaceutical industry. Solstice Neuroscience is the first company to begin implementation of Verticals onDemand’s VBioPharma Specialty Care Edition.

Verticals onDemand designed VBioPharma Specialty Care Edition to support this fast-growing sector in biopharmaceuticals where companies are working to align their organizations so they can efficiently market novel drugs for smaller patient populations. In addition to the numerous specialty pharma and biotechs that have emerged, large, traditional pharmaceutical companies now have significant products and pipeline in the specialty area.

Built on the Salesforce Platform to deliver all the advantages of the Software as a Service (SaaS) model, VBioPharma is the industry’s first SaaS CRM solution for specialty pharmaceuticals. It replaces generic call reporting software and includes detailed account management functionality, including a visual sphere of influence and account rankings; flexible call reporting; and practical call scheduling functionality.

“We needed a system that could meet the unique needs of a company with a specialty pharmaceutical product without requiring us to install and maintain our own hardware and software,” said Alison Becker, Solstice Neurosciences’ Director of Customer Relations & Information Management. “What Verticals onDemand provides that other SaaS products don’t is a better data structure and functionality that is designed specifically for our industry. VBioPharma was the best SaaS CRM solution for us.”

According to Matt Wallach, vice president of sales and marketing for Verticals onDemand, “big pharma is looking for additional avenues of growth and they are finding it in the specialty drug sector, yet their reps struggle without any worthwhile IT tools. We offer an affordable, job-specific system that will enable account-based selling strategies to help biopharma companies get the most out of this growing specialty drug revolution.”

An online demonstration of VBioPharma Specialty Care Edition is available at www.verticalsondemand.com. VBioPharma is priced on a per user per month basis and is now generally available.
