The SuiteFlex Development platform goes beyond other on-demand development environments by allowing third-party applications to integrate rich transaction data — orders, inventory, invoices and shipments — with their applications, and enable customers and third-party developers to build new workflows and applications that can look and operate as if NetSuite’s own developers wrote them.

Because NetSuite holds critical business data of a company — orders, invoices, Web site transactions, shipping records, time tracking and payroll data — the applications that are built on it using SuiteFlex provide key tools for managing the company’s business. For example, iEnterprises created its Mobile Edge for NetSuite wireless application on Suiteflex’s SuiteTalk web services API, which made sending data to and from wireless devices easy to deploy and manage. This allows NetSuite users to get mission-critical information housed in their NetSuite system such as contacts, leads and case histories whenever they are away from the office, and in real time.
